Our founder, Alex Romo, learned the foundations of running a landscaping company from an unlikely source: behind the meat counter of a big-box retailer. While cutting grass is certainly not the same as cutting meat, Alex’s retail career instilled essential principles in his work ethic that would ultimately lay the groundwork for Green & Clean Landscaping.

Alex learned important concepts about valuing customers, prioritizing safety, and ensuring quality over speed and profits. After realizing his dream of owning his own business, with the support of his wife, Katy and son, Alex Jr, Alex decided to put his knowledge of landscaping and his hard work toward achieving this goal.

As the business started to grow, the importance of providing an amazing work environment for his employees became a top priority. Alex became involved with the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP). He gained industry knowledge and continued to grow as a leader. Our team took advantage of programs like Train-the-Trainer and annual opportunities at the GIE+ Expo to motivate employees and provide proper training for skills and development.
